GPS settings

The GPS settings provide you configuration options for location tracking and signal quality.
You can set the GPS location in the vehicle, adjust the GPS frequency, and enable the GPS Quality Filter to refine positioning accuracy. The filter supports various GPS correction methods, including GPS, DGPS, FRTK, and RTK, ensuring precise navigation and location tracking.

GPS location in the vehicle.

Gps location in the vehicle allows you to adjust transverse offset of your receiver.
You can adjust receiver transverse offset in case if during navigation your position in the app is shifted relatively to your real position.

Note: Its not reccomended to use with PowerSteer system. If you need to adjust position of the PowerSteer controller please refer to the Vehicle profile & PowerSteer profile section.

GPS frequency.

GPS frequency, also known as GPS refresh rate, refers to how often a GPS receiver updates its location data per second. It is measured in Hertz (Hz), where 1 Hz means the GPS updates once per second, 5 Hz means five updates per second.

Default value is 5Hz.

A higher GPS update frequency provides more real-time positioning, but also higher frequencies can increase power consumption and data processing requirements.

GPS quality filter.

The GPS Quality Filter is a feature that helps improve the accuracy and reliability of GPS data by filtering out lower-quality signals. It ensures that only GPS data meeting specific accuracy standards is used, reducing errors caused by weak or inconsistent signals.

GPS (Standard GPS): Basic satellite positioning, lower accuracy (~5-10m).

DGPS (Differential GPS): Enhanced accuracy using correction data (~1m).

FRTK (Float RTK): Medium-precision Real-Time Kinematic positioning (~10-30cm).

RTK (Real-Time Kinematic): High-precision positioning (~1-2cm).

By default ALL (GPS, DGPS, FRTK, RTK) signal quality levels are used for navigation.
