Connecting to the receiver and autosteer basics.

For precision farming, we recommended using GNSS receivers. GNSS technology enables precision farming practices, such as precision planting, irrigation, and harvesting. It allows for precise positioning and control of agricultural machinery and equipment, resulting in more efficient and accurate operations.

With the "My Equipment" wizard, we provide the capability to connect and configure various types of GNSS receivers and autosteers.

To connect the PowerSteer system with the App, you need:

  • Set up the controller on the vehicle.

  • Turn On the device, wait until it becomes ready for connection.
    (For FieldBee controllers: the button on the controller will blink with green color.)

  • Then go to the FieldBee App, main menu  > My Equipment.

In My Equipment > tap  ADD EQUIPMENT +

Choose the device you want to connect from the list:

Once you have selected the device, follow the on-screen instructions to complete the connection. You can check the connection status of your devices in My Equipment. This includes the network, device connection, internet, and NTRIP connection.

    A question appears: "Do you have your own FieldBee Base Station?"image.webp

    • If you answer "YES," we recommend configuring a base station before connecting the receiver.

    • If you answer "NO," it means you intend to connect to an NTRIP provider.

    Next, a CONNECTION DIAGRAM will be displayed, outlining the connection process:

    The connection diagram may vary depending on the device being connected.

    • Turn ON the receiver.
    • Connect your hardware according to the displayed connection diagram.

     Tap LET’S GO.

    Network

    Choose the network for connecting the FieldBee App and the receiver, then click CONTINUE. You have three network options:

    • Network from this device (HotSpot): If you've configured a SIM card with mobile internet, share the internet via a HotSpot.

    • Network from another Android device (Wi-Fi): Connect to an available Wi-Fi network from another device.

    • Network from router (Wi-Fi): Connect to an available Wi-Fi network shared from a router using your current Phone/Tablet.

    Information!
    We suggest configuring the network name as rtkwifi and using 12345678 as the password. PowerSteer will attempt to connect to the network using these default settings.

    After selecting an Internet source, the Fieldbee App will test your internet connection and show confirmation if the internet connection was set up successfully.

    Tap CONNECT POWERSTEER CONTROLLER to CONTINUE.

    Search and Establish a Connection

    Upon selecting the network, the app initiates a scan for accessible receivers and controllers.
    As a result, it successfully identifies receiver/controller. 

    • If you have multiple controllers linked to the same network, choose the one you wish to utilise. 

    • If the app doesn't detect anything, simply tap REFRESH LIST.

    Then, tap CONTINUE.

    The app initiates the connection process with the chosen Receiver / PowerSteer Controller. 
    Once the connection is established successfully, CONTINUE to proceed to the device-specific connecting steps.
