APN for Australia
To enable your tablet's hotspot, you need to add a "DUN" (Dial-Up Networking) setting to your APN configuration, which tells the SIM card to share its internet connection. Follow these steps:
- Open APN Settings: Navigate to Settings > Network & internet (or Connections) > SIMs > Access point names (APNs).
- Create New Profile: Tap the + icon or Add to create a new APN entry.
- Enter APN: In the APN field, enter the data address for your specific mobile operator (e.g.,
telstra.internet). Leave other fields blank unless specified. - Set APN Type: In the APN type field, type exactly:
dun(If this does not work, trydefault, dun). - Save & Refresh: Save the new profile, ensure it is selected, and then toggle Airplane mode ON and OFF to refresh your connection.
