Alg V3. Steering Adjust parameters.

After the vehicle has been calibrated, it should perform well for most standard field operations.

However, in certain situations, steering performance adjustments may be required based on factors such as field conditions and implement type.

When you start navigation with PowerSteer and the navigation lines is generated on the map, the Steering button and Gear button (Steering Adjust Parameters) will appear.

What parametes can be adjusted:

  • Line Acquisition is a steering adjustment parameter that controls how quickly and smoothly the vehicle aligns with the guidance line after autosteering is engaged.
  • Tilt Compensation is a steering adjustment parameter that can be turned on or off to correct steering deviations caused by uneven terrain.
  • Implement Сoefficient is a steering adjustment parameter that controls how the system compensates for the implement’s impact on steering behavior.
  • Motor Aggressiveness is a steering adjustment parameter that controls how forcefully and quickly the motor turns the steering wheel.

To access the Steering Adjust dialog, tap the Gear button on the Navigation screen.

PowerWheel: Position Mode, steering Adjust parametrs

From here you can set:

  • Line acquisition.
    • Higher values – The vehicle aligns with the line more aggressively, reducing acquisition time but potentially causing overshooting.
    • Lower values – The approach is smoother and more gradual, minimizing abrupt corrections but increasing the time needed to align.
  • Tilt compensation OFF/ON.
    • ON – The system compensates for vehicle tilt, improving accuracy on slopes and rough terrain.
    • OFF – No tilt correction is applied, which may result in slight deviations, especially on uneven surfaces.
  • Motor aggressiveness.  Automatically adjusted.

PowerWheel: Speed Mode (Outdated), steering Adjust parametrs

Starting from firmware version 2.2.x, we recommend switching the motor to Position Mode. You can do this through the Toolbox app.

From here you can set:

  • Line acquisition.
  • Tilt compensation
  • Motor aggressiveness.
    • Higher values – The motor responds more aggressively, making faster and sharper steering corrections. Useful for high-speed operations or when quick adjustments are needed.
    • Lower values – The motor turns the wheel more smoothly and gradually, reducing sudden movements. Ideal for slower speeds or delicate steering conditions.
